The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) launched the project (Access to inclusive quality Primary and Secondary Education for IDPs and Refugees in the Crisis-Affected Areas in Iraq) which is funded by the European Union.


The project is expected to contribute supporting the education of 100,000 IDPs and refugee students, develop the capacity of 2,500 teachers and equip or expand 80 schools in Dahuk, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Ninawa, Salahuddin and Anbar provinces.

Worthy mentioned that ALMORTAQA for Development is one of the implementing partners in this project, which extends over 3 years and is implemented in coordination with both Ministry of Education in Iraq and Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Region
